Intro and explanation time!

What am I doing exactly:
After many hours, emails, winks, smiley faces, quick messages and very few suitors I am giving up online dating for 6 months starting Oct 1, 2010. Why you ask? So many people have met their significant others online with in the last 10 years that I've begun to wonder if it is possible to meet a person out in public and persue a real relationship the old fashioned way. Through this blog I will document my trials and tribulations of trying to find someone by going out and talking to people instead of analyzing answers on a page.
What am I looking for?
Basics: Single, Male, age 24-32 employed, non-smoking, some what healthy habits, likes kids and pets, sense of humor is a must, must not do drugs
Prefers: no kids, never married, not in school, good relationship with family, good group of friends, place of his own, over 5'10
It seems kind of broad, but I have narrowed down over the past months. Through this experiment I will change the list as I go along and find things to add.
